Seven-Step Development Process

This process forms the backbone of what we do. We realize at first glance this can be a turnoff, particularly to the small business on a time crunch – or worse, with a web emergency. But our clients agree; this process is not only essential, it’s downright exciting when properly executed.

Discovery

Initial survey and ensuing discussion to determine size and scope of project. Identify short-term, mid-range, and long-term goals to design and implement a deployment roadmap. Includes identifying users, roles, target market, demographic, existing and desired branding and identity. Very macro in scale encompassing the entire project scope.

Exploration

Focus on reaching out in all project directions. Rough draft mock-ups and wire framing of elements, branding, and identity layout, including home page, and perhaps additional pages.

Refinement

Focus on scaling back, concentration on key elements identified in Exploration. Design iteration begins, including identifying appropriate Drupal installation profile, theme(s), modules, and third party technology for project.

Staging

Pilot version of branded site. A live, online rough draft, or test run on our server.

Implementation

Pre-launch as some like to call it. Others refer to this stage as beta. Live site with expectation of minor bugs and revisions.

Launch

Final adjustments made to address any remaining unmet client expectations prior to site release. Once agreement is made Paskainos design and development role becomes final for this project installment. All work from this point forward performed by Paskainos is either under maintenance contract or under new design and development contract.

Maintenance

Routine site maintenance to monitor and maintain optimum site health and performance.
