The Don Harkins Memorial

The Don Harkins Memorial is dedicated to celebrating the life and heroic efforts of Idaho Observer Founder and Editor-in-Chief, Don Harkins. To most who knew him Don Harkins was a true American hero, a legend, and a patriot. His legacy continues in his work at the Idaho Observer.

Taken much too soon, Don Harkins passed away September 19th, 2009 at 4:44 A.M. He was with his beloved wife, Ingri. Don was a source of inspiration for hundreds, always living his life according to his conscience as he disseminated truthful information to all who crossed his path. He will be missed by all of us who relished his wisdom, passion, humor and determined, energetic spirit. The world was a better place because of Don, and he will be sorely missed.
